Vivien Petras schloss 2001 ihr Studium der
Bibliothekswissenschaft, BWL und Kunstgeschichte (M.A.) an der
Humboldt-Universität Berlin ab und promovierte an der University of
California at Berkeley 2006 in Information Management and Systems.
Seit Dezember 2006 ist sie stellvertretende Leiterin der Abteilung
Informationswissenschaftliche Forschung und Entwicklung.
Die Forschungsschwerpunkte von Vivien Petras liegen in den Bereichen
Informationsorganisation und Information Retrieval
