Nina completed her law studies in Bonn, Heidelberg, Mannheim and Montpellier (France) with a German (2. judicial state examination) and a French law degree (Maîtrise en Droit Public). She is pursuing her PhD studies at the University of Heidelberg. Since 2001 she is an attorney at law. As a scientific associate at the gender equality office of the University of Cologne Nina Steinweg was in charge of the legal affairs and of two mentoring projects. At the CEWS she is working since 2008 on the judicial aspects of gender equality in higher education. In 2009 she coordinated the development of the “toolbox” for the DFG´s research-oriented standards on gender equality.
