Studies from Eastern Europe - Service Guide

The data service Eastern Europe offers basic information on the archived studies and accessibility of the data  . Further data sources from and on Eastern Europe are described.  We attempt to support the interested user in the following fields: 

• Data and Documentation of the Studies from Eastern Europe

  • Election Studies: Descriptions of archived data sets,  search in codebooks, download of study descriptions and codebooks

  • Comparative Studies: Study profiles/codebooks of the Consolidation of Democracy in Central and Eastern Europe 1990-2001 (PCP I+II), Transformation Barometer 1997, The Pulse of Europe 1991 und further studies.

  • ISSP in Eastern Europe: Collection of the East European participants and links to the ISSP-Data-Service including the codebook retrieval. 

  • Central and Eastern Eurobarometer (CEEB 1-8): Participating countries, main topics and questionnaires of the surveys from 1990-1997, CEEB TREND File. 

  • Study profiles of specific studies from Eastern Europe (1989-1998) 

• Link collection of further data sources from and on Eastern Europe 

• Beside the consultation service  on the data holdings the GESIS Service Agency Eastern Europe assists the interested user in getting data sets from  East European Data Archives.
