The data catalogue (in Russian and English) contains descriptions of 277 empirical studies.</p> <p>Using internationally accepted archiving standards there is a brief description of each study containing: <ul> <li><b>N</b> - the registration number of the study in DB FILES;</li> <li><b>Title -</b> the short title of the research, showing its characters and helping its classification and navigation when using catalogue;</li> <li><b>Date </b>- the exact time when data were collected;</li> <li><b>Donors </b>- research centres and institutions which were participants of the project;</li> <li><b>Author </b>- the head (leader) of the research-team;</li> <li><b>Co-workers</b> - participants of the projects, mentioned by the author;</li> <li><b>Summary</b> - short description of the project;</li> <li><b>Sample</b> <b>population</b> - sample-size and geographical area covered by the study;</li> <li><b>Dimension</b> <b>of collection</b> - files of empirical data, file's format - SPSS portable file;</li> <li><b>Cases and variables</b> - the exact number of cases and variables;</li> <li><b>Documentation</b> - codebooks (machine-readable and hard-copy), reports and tables;</li> <li><b>Other</b> <b>information</b>.</li> </ul> <p>The catalogue is available both in printed and machine-readable version. It can be consulted at the <a href="mailto:brigitte.hausstein@gesis.org">GESIS Branch Office</a>.
