A major portion of the GESIS-ZA's data holdings is related

• to German national elections (Bundestagswahlen) since 1949 (data represented in several groups), and
• to numerous state-level elections (Landtags- & Kommunalwahlen) surveyed since 1979.

For the purposes of international comparative social research international election studies are available in the different study pools

• European Election Studies (EES) - Eurobarometer section.
• Election surveys involving Eastern European states - Data Service Eastern Europe
• Comparative Study of Electoral Systems (CSES)  - external side

Codebooks and/or survey descriptions for the individual studies are available 'on line' in PDF format represented in the different sections.

The total inventory of all archived election surveys is listed in the GESIS-ZA Data Holdings Catalogue, which supports field searching in the Survey Descriptions.
