Pupil interval study IS 2 - Younger cohort 1979 - 1984/85

The "Pupil interval study IS 2" was carried out by the Central Institute for Youth Research Leipzig from 1979/80 to 1985 with a younger and an older cohort. In the "IS 2 younger cohort" classes at level 7 were chosen from 18 schools using a cluster sampling technique (the same school areas as those used in the pupil interval study IS 1 in the city of Leipzig were selected). In connection with concrete social factors and social conditions, beginning with 12/13 year olds and ending with 17/18 year olds, these studies were intended to investigate typical forms of development of the personality and the social behaviour of young people as well as their professional development and work behaviour.
