Data and Documentation of the ISSP Modules
The GESIS-ZA produced the integrated international data sets and the
documentation of ISSP modules from the beginning in 1985 up to
1996. Starting with 1997, the odd years are prepared by ASEP/JDS and
the even years by GESIS-ZA.
Full documentation is available on the Study Profile pages. Selecting a
Study Profile displays information on a single ISSP module and year at a
time, giving you an overview of the participating countries of that
particular module and access to all related material, including
codebooks, country questionnaires and methodological reports.
The overview matrix shows information across all modules, of course
with less information on individual countries on the first level, but
links again to the detailed Study Profiles.
Study Profiles
On each Profile page, you find the following:
- English basic/source questionnaire (PDF)
- GESIS-ZA standard codebook or its ASEP/JDS equivalent (PDF)
- Participating countries - sample size - year of fieldwork - comments
and errata - country questionnaires (PDF - in the national languages)
