• for ISSP members: ISSP 2008 "Religion III" setup files release

  The standard setup files for the ISSP module of 2008 are now available.

• ISSP 2005 Work Orientation III (v1.0) released

  The integrated international file of ISSP 2005, Work Orientations III, is available for analysis and download via ZACAT as of 2007-09-21. The Work Orientations module collects extensive information on the respondents' work situation, 'work-life-balance', subjective perception of labour market conditions etc., including related attitudes.
  The survey covers 31 countries across the world. The list of participating countries and complimentary information are available at the ISSP 2005 module page.

• Revision of ISSP 2003 National Identity II (v2.0) released

  A new version of the ISSP 2003 National Identity dataset is being provided via the ZACAT online platform as of Aug. 30. The new release adds the dataset from the Netherlands, which had previously not been integrated, and corrects all errors in the data and the variable documentation having surfaced to date.
  In particular, the treatment of filters affecting attendance to religious services of respondents without religion/denomination was corrected (variable ATTEND), and the derivation of the standard educational DEGREE variable has been changed for the Republic of Ireland. We advise that you check whether your analyses may have been affected by these errors, if in doubt, please contact us.

• Revision of ISSP 2004 Citizenship (v1.2) released

  A new version of the ISSP 2004 Citizenship dataset is being provided via the ZACAT online platform as of Aug. 1st. The new release corrects all errors in the data and the variable documentation having surfaced to date. In particular, previously missing data of the household size in Ireland have been added.

• for ISSP members: ISSP 2007 "Leisure and Sports" setup files updated - new mandatory background variable SUBSCASE!

  The standard setup files for the ISSP module of 2007 have been updated.
  The setup files now include a variable SUBSCASE which is to be used for indicating substituted cases!
  Member countries preparing their country's deposit to the Central Archive may use either the SPSS syntax file or the XML version compatible with the DataWizard.

• for ISSP members: ISSP 2006 "Role of Government IV" setup files revised

  The standard setup files for the ISSP module of 2006 have been revised with regard to a number of country specific variables and some other modifications. Member countries who have already deposited their 2006 data to the Central Archive need not deposit again!
