The European Values Study (EVS)
is carried out under the responsibility of the European Values Study
Foundation. The study was initiated by the European Value Systems Study
Group (EVSSG) in the late 1970s and is a large-scale, cross- national and
longitudinal survey research program. It covers the fields: religion and
morality, politics, work and leisure, and primary relations.
The offer contains the data
and documentation from the three waves of the European Values Survey
conducted in the following countries:

Different comparisons of question wording used in the master questionnaires
of the three waves respectively in the national questionnaires are
supported.
For more
information on the EVS and the WVS, please see the websites for the
European Values Study and the
World Values Survey. Both sites contain also a link to the data from the
four waves of the Values Surveys carried out in 1981-84, 1980-93, 1989-1993
and 1999-2004. To facilitate time series analysis the data are integrated
into one dataset and made available in an online analysis tool maintained by
ASEP/JDS.
