Studies on federal state elections (Landtagswahlen)
The available studies on the German ferderal state elections go back as far as 1962. These studies were conducted for the most part as representative surveys in the run-up to elections of the Landtage, the Bürgerschaft of Bremen and Hamburg or the Berliner Abgeordnetenhaus. The Data catalogue allows for study descriptions to be browsed by subject and methodology. It also offers download and order options for all archived federal state election surveys from 1962 to today.
DFG project “The impact of federal politics on ferderal state elections”
- The empirical basis for this project, which is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG), is constituted by the archive’s federal state election studies from 1962 to 2004 and holdings of event data and macrodata.
- It was implemented by the Institute of Social Science (SOWI I) at the University of Stuttgart, the Institute of Political Science and Japanology of the University of Halle, and GESIS Data Archive for the Social Sciences.
