As institution of the Leibniz Community, GESIS employs University students in Cologne and Mannheim as student assistants or research assistants. Therefore the students are able to gain practical experience and get a financial support for the financing of their studies. GESIS benefits from the motivation and verve of the students’ commitment.
Requirement for the employment is matriculation at a German or foreign University. Basically the second semester should be successfully completed.
The spectrum on tasks the students have to fulfil is as wide as the spectrum of GESIS. Activities are for example data preparation, data analysis or literature research. The employment takes place in order to support financed aims within the institution as well as to support the work in third-party financed projects. Also administrative tasks can be part of the work of a student assistant.
