The final release covers 40 countries across the world and contains updates for Flanders-Belgium and Northern Ireland.

The integrated international file of the ISSP 2007, Leisure Time and Sports, is available for analysis and download via ZACAT as of 2009-04-25. The partial release of the integrated file covers 24 countries across the world. A list of participating countries is available at the ISSP 2007 module page.

2009-02-19:

for ISSP members: ISSP 2009 "Social Inequality IV" setup files are released. The standard setup files for the ISSP module of 2009 are now available.

for ISSP members: the ISSP 2008 "Religion III" setup is updated. The standard setup files of the second version are now available.

2008-10-20:

ISSP 'Role of Government I-IV' cumulation (version 1.0) released

The ISSP 'Role of Government I-IV' cumulation is now available for online analysis and download on ZACAT. It consists of two separate datasets: ZA4747 and ZA4748. ZA4747 contains all the cumulated variables, while ZA4748 is a supplementary data file, which contains all those (mainly national specific variables) that could not be cumulated for various reasons. However, the variables can be matched easily to the cumulated file if necessary. The cumulation covers 22 countries across the world. A list of participating countries and complementary information are available at the ISSP Cumulation module page.

2008-09-11:

ISSP 2006 Role of Government IV (v1.0) released

The integrated international file of ISSP 2006, Role of Government IV, is available for analysis and download via ZACAT as of 2008-09-09. The Role of Government IV module collects extensive information on the respondents' attitudes toward the law; functions and responsibilities of the national state; government performance; subjective efficacy in dealing with politics; and perceived and experienced corruption of government officials. The integrated file covers 33 countries across the world. The list of participating countries and complimentary information are available at the ISSP 2006 module page.

2008-08-04:

In preparation of ISSP 2009, Social Inequality IV, ISSP members may want to prepare the coding of the numerous variables with ISCO 88 occupational titles which are contained in the upcoming module. Hands-on instructions for performing proper coding (or recoding) have kindly been provided by the Dutch ISSP colleague Harry Ganzeboom and can be downloaded here (127 KB).

2008-05-16:

The ISSP web pages at GESIS have a new structure. ISSP modules and the related documentation for secondary analysis are now listed in an area 'Modules - Study Overview'. ISSP members find material relevant for data depositing etc. in a separate Members Area.
