Holdings: 5000 books as well as 106 regularly subscribed to journals,
21 of which are from Eastern Europe (de), 28 German journals
(de) the majority dealing with themes on Eastern Europe (see below), seven computer journals and
50 German journals dealing with transformation
problems in the new German federal states and sociology and social science
themes. Monographs can be borrowed for up to four weeks. Reference books
and journals are available for use in the rooms of the GESIS Service
Agency Eastern Europe. Updates on new
acquisitions (selected book lists, de) are offered three times yearly.
Special collection: according to the acquisition guidelines, materials
on the transformation of the new German federal states as well as Eastern
Europe have been collected through buying, exchanges or as gifts. The
focus of this is on social sciences and related fields.
