Elektronic Handbooks: ZIS and EHES

ZIS
ZUMA-Informationssystem. Elektronisches Handbuch sozialwissenschaftlicher Erhebungsinstrumte. Version 10.0, 2006.
ISSN 1617-3597, ISBN 3-924220-32-8)

The electronic handbook ZIS documents survey instruments and data about attitudes and behaviour for frequently investigated social topics. It also provides basic material on key theoretical and methodological issues. The Handbook is an extension of the ZUMA Handbook of Scales that was compiled in the 1980s.

EHES
Elektronisches Handbuch zu Erhebungsinstrumenten im Suchtbereich. Version 3.00, 2003.
(ISSN 1617-5166, ISBN 3-924220-25-5)

A second electronic handbook (EHES) that documents survey instruments used in addiction studies was developed parallel to the ZIS 5.01 version. The EHES was created by GESIS-ZUMA together with the chair of Clinical Psychology at the University of Münster and the Institute for Therapy Research in Munich (IFT), with financial support provided by the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA).

As these handbooks are continually updated, GESIS-ZUMA is interested to learn about new or modified instruments, and if a contribution of this kind can be provided, then please contact Angelika Glöckner-Rist. GESIS-ZUMA makes the ZIS Handbook available for free as one of the services it provides to the research community. We would therefore be very grateful if, after using ZIS, you would be so kind  to fill out a short questionnaire.
