Surveys of the Institute for Public Affairs, Bratislava (IVO)

The results of nationwide surveys on political attitudes conducted by the Institute for Public Affairs have been presented by SLOVENSKO.COM. Here are the main findings:

The National Council of the Slovak Republic has the confidence of the majority of the citizens.

02/24/99 
77% of the citizens support decision to reconsider those agreements signed by the government of Vladimir Meciar, that harm the state.

02/22/99 
87% of the citizens support the direct presidential elections.

02/19/99 
The Prime Minister Mikulas Dzurinda is the most popular politician in Slovakia.

02/17/99 
The decision to renew the investigation into the kidnapping of Michal Kovac Jr and the death of Robert Remias is widely supported by the public.

02/17/99 
The Slovak Democratic Coalition is the most preferred political party in Slovakia.
