Historical development: In 1993 Scientific Association of Wloclawek initiated establishing a university and in 1995 the non-state University College of Wloclawek was set up. The Scientific Association of Wloclawek takes full organizational and strategic responsibility for it.

Faculties: Faculty of Administration, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Humanities, Faculty of Education Science and Social Work

Research:

* Faculty of Administration: regional government

* Faculty of Economics: European economic integration processes

* Faculty of Humanities: interdisciplinary studies on the history of North Poland

* Faculty of education science: social policy and socio-economic problems in Poland, Central and Eastern Europe in view of system transformation as well as problems of unemployment, poverty and health care

Publications: The University issues monographs, working papers and a university magazine. All the publications are up till now available only in Polish language.

Teaching: Full and part-time courses offered at the university lead to licentiate degree in taught disciplines. The college also offers various post-graduate courses.
