EDITORIAL
Dear Readers,
Ten years have passed by since the establishment of the GESIS Branch Office in
January 1992. On March 22 we celebrated our anniversary with a conference on
"Europeanization or East Expansion? Views on Eastern Europe - Views from
Eastern Europe".
You will find the programme of the conference on our website under http://www.gesis.org/en/events/as/index.htm.
If you did not have an opportunity to be with us, you can get an impression of
the speakers and conversation partners you have missed http://www.gesis.org/Veranstaltungen/AS/10Jahre/index.htm. We are planning to publish the contributions and perhaps the praises
of the GESIS Branch Office in a special edition of our Newsletter. The
Newsletter is celebrating its 10th birthday this year, too. In September 1992,
the first six-page number was published. Although the layout of the Newsletter
has not changed vitally, its size and content have increased in a substantial
way. An undiminished interest in our Newsletter manifests itself in growing
number of subscribers, which we regularly present to you at the end of year. At
this moment, we particularly look forward to receiving your suggestions and to
the coming ten years.
