The European Centre for Comparative
Surveys at GESIS-ZUMA is committed to
improving the quality of cross-cultural survey methodology. In collaboration
with the scientific community, the Centre aims to promote the development
and implementation of sustainable good practice for cross-cultural and
cross-national research in design, management, monitoring, analysis,
reporting, and documentation.
The
European Centre for Comparative
Surveys at GESIS-ZUMA brings together GESIS-ZUMA
staff centrally involved in conducting cross-cultural research and in
evaluating and advising cross-cultural, cross-national survey research
projects. The Centre has a core staff of twelve researchers, supported by
staff from other divisions in GESIS-ZUMA and researchers from other institutions.
The Director of GESIS-ZUMA, Professor Peter Ph Mohler heads the Centre.
GESIS-ZUMA
is a department of the not-for-profit organisation GESIS. It was set up by the German National
Science Foundation with the specific aim of providing the scientific
community with an independent centre of expertise on survey methodology. Researchers from a wide range of disciplines within and beyond
the boundaries of Germany consult GESIS-ZUMA on research problems.
GESIS belongs to
the 80-institute strong Leibniz
Association.
