Project description:
With the systematic transfer and standardization of results from externally
funded software technology related projects, the production of new software
components can be made considerably more efficient. Under the FIOLA project group a framework for generating user access for searching in heterogeneous data pools was begun in 2000. The following working groups are
involved:
- Desktop, interface elements
- Communication model
- Query-representation
- Abstract data representation
- Heterogeneity
- Distributed objects, interfaces
Most of the crucial work of the FIOLA project group will most likely be completed in 2001, a consistent maintenance and adaptation of the models to the newest knowledge, of course, needs to continue on top of
that.
Duration: since April 2000
