A framework for dynamic, object-oriented user interfaces - ODIN
Integrated information systems often have to cope with the diversity of the different data with regard to data structures and content
analysis. Two areas of research - information retrieval and human-computer interaction - provide partial
solutions, but a model for integration is still not available.
ODIN, a framework for dynamic, object-oriented user interfaces, provides concepts and user interface controls for adaptive and adaptable user
interfaces. It defines a consistent and predictable mode for interacting with information systems and at the same time allows the user to explore and exploit metadata about the heterogeneity within an information system.
