Staff: Rielies Neitzke, Dr. Udo Riege, Siegfried Schomisch, Marcus Schommler, Dr. Maximilian Stempfhuber
Project leader: Dr. Maximilian Stempfhuber
Contact:  Dr. Maximilian Stempfhuber

Project description:

Approximately 350 journals - mainly selected for evaluation for the SOLIS database - as well a collection of various papers in the Social Science Information Centre are looked at. In the course of step-by-step changes of work procedures in GESIS-IZ an electronic computer assisted solution for these areas was developed and introduced. A software application now exists for managing periodicals for both small and mid-size libraries. The software offered by GESIS-IZ, known by its product name SCHILDKROETE, has been in use since December 1998.
SCHILDKOETE is being continuously advanced.
