Tools for Preparation and Further Processing of Data

Through the development of relatively compact customized software a number of internal work procedures can be considerably improved. To facilitate the work in the specialized departments of GESIS database tools for the following tasks are developed:

• COGET: Computer-aided production of documentations on certain topics
• DEUBIB: Selection and ordering of literature for the processing in SOLIS based on machine-readable data provided by the National Library of Germany
• FIOLA: Framework for Interest Oriented Library Architectures
• ISSP DataWizard: Support of the work procedures aimed at archiving international survey data provided by the International Social Survey Programme
• SCHILDKRÖTE: Program for journal management
