Family survey 1988 - 2000
CD-ROM

Besides the youth survey and the foreigner survey, the Deutsches Jugendinstitut München (DJI) (German institute for youth research, Munich) publishes the family survey 1988-2000 as another highly complex data pool for secondary analytic research.

The family survey mainly focuses on the "variety and change of family patterns, the network structure of families and relatives as well as on the dynamics of partner relationships, of births and growing-up of children and of occupational careers with their influences on familiy life".

The CD contains topical and methodical information, the data and research documents of the family survey's three waves as well as a number of additional studies on specific topics. Some of these topics build upon the sample of the family survey or were carried out using their own samples. The data of the study "Families in precarious situations 2002" has not yet been released and is therefore not included on the CD-ROM.
