Users of the data section are supported in obtaining, selecting, and using data with the aid of specially targeted services, information, and technical systems.
Consultations
- Consultations provided by the individual sections with regard to their data pools
- Consultations on long-term archiving of social science surveys
Retrieval & Data access
- Searches in the various survey and data catalogs of the scientific areas
- Online data analyses on selected international and German surveys (ZACAT)
- Search in German-language and English-language questionnaires
- Data access through downloading or ordering data and study documentation
- Information on how to access data provided by the German Federal Statistical Office
Special data areas
To support scientific analyses in research and teaching GESIS offers a wide range of social science surveys and empirical data. Services are subdivided into five scientific areas each with further data pools:
