Income and Expenditure Survey (EVS)

We advise you on your options concerning retrieval of EVS data. Moreover, we make it possible for you to analyze the EVS data held by GESIS at our premises. In addition, you can also access meta-data and program routines (microdata tools) which simplify working with EVS data.

The data holdings of the German Microdata Lab entail the family income and expenditure surveys of 1962/63, 1978 through 2003. Documentation refers in each case to that version of the scientific use file provided by the German Federal Statistical Office in each survey year (see the data set description of the corresponding EVS basic file).
