The European Commission's Eurobarometer surveys
| Eurobarometer primary data and related documentation are stored at the GESIS Data Archive department (formerly Central Archive for Empirical Social Research) and ICPSR. They are made available European- and worldwide through the networks of the Social Science Data Archives for re-use (statistical analysis) in research or training. Online access to the the Standard & Special Eurobarometer, the Candidate Countries and Eastern Eurobarometer is provided via the GESIS ZACAT portal, including question or variable retrieval, tabulations and download of analysis data sets. | |
 | Monitoring the public opinion in the European Union is the mission of the Standard & Special Eurobarometer surveys, conducted by internationally recognized survey research institutes on behalf of the European Commission since the early seventies at least two times a year in all member states. In the nineties the program has been complemented by small scale Flash Eurobarometer and the Central and Eastern Eurobarometer, later replaced by the Candidate Countries Eurobarometer. Survey results are regularly published in official reports by the Eurobarometer unit of the European Commission. | |
