Improvements of DISI Version 2.1 

Besides the update of the data DISI 2.1 incorporates the following major improvements in comparison to version 2.0:

• Time series were extended till 2005.
• Problems that occurred while saving indicator-sets have been fixed. In addition to that, sets that have been saved in the German-language version will appear with English labels when opened with the English version of the programme (and vice versa).
• It is now possible to use the following shortcut keys in order to access the new set, open set, save set, and Print options:

  	Ctrl + P		Print

• The information-file was updated.

In comparison to its predecessor (released in 1995) DISI 2.0 incorporates the following major improvements:

• The data now covers the time until the end of the nineties. It also includes separate time series for the eastern and the western part of Germany as well as information on the country as a whole.
• It is now possible to print tables and histograms. Moreover the charts might be exported in .jpg or .htm format and the time series data might be saved as an ASCII-text-file.
• There is a zoom-mode for histograms and data-tables that can be used to focus on a specific period of time.
• Individual selections of time series can be saved on disk. 
• DISI 2.0 has an improved query option that makes it easy to access the data.
• DISI 2.0 is a bilingual application and might be used in German or English.
