SCHILDKROETE
Journal Management System for One-Person-Libraries

SCHILDKROETE is a software for the management of all sorts of periodicals and their circulation lists specifically designed for small or medium-sized libraries (reference users).

SCHILDKROETE ...

• generates and prints different evaluations of the periodicals
• allows direct access to the periodicals website
• is available as a version for single or multiple work stations
• is available as 16-bit- and 32-bit-version.

System requirements

For SCHILDKROETE Version 2.2 (16 bit) setup you will need a computer requiring

• Windows 3.1 and higher
• a 486 processor with 100 MHz
• at least 16 MB memory

For SCHILDKROETE Version 3.0 (32 bit) you will need a computer requiring Windows 98 and higher.

In order to operate the version for multiple work stations your computer will have to be connected to a network.

Further development

In the first quarter of 2003 was finished an update of the current version of SCHILDKROETE (16 bit for Windows 3.1 and higher). In addition we offer a new version SCHILDKROETE 3.0 (32 bit for Windows 98 and higher). The further development comprises among other things:

• design of the graphical user interface to improve the accessibility for blind and visually impaired people
• improvements at database error handling
• configurable advice note for circulation management
• controlling of arrival of the periodicals
• additional features for printing and saving

SCHILDKROETE (both versions) can be ordered (Order form - in German) from GESIS-IZ for the price of 274 € (including VAT), upgrades upon request.
