Eurobarometer Data Service Overview
The Eurobarometer data service website attempts to offer value added services for the social sciences, researchers or students, interested in finding out about the potentials of and the access to the primary data generated over four decades by this large scale European wide survey program.
The broad range of related information has now been set up as a compendium-type microsite in oder to provide a clearer overview of available information, materials, retrieval facilities and ways to access the individual level data. For general data archive information you will be directed to the main GESIS website, wherever appropriate.
The FAQ guide picks up questions frequently asked by users who new to this site.
The main chapters in the tab navigation are organized as follows:
- Survey Series and detailed study level information for the Standard & Special Eurobarometer, the Flash, Central & Eastern and Candidate Countries Eurobarometer, including a brief view on history
- Topics & Trends are documented systematically for easy identification and evaluation, wheras the complete question base can be searched by a free text retrieval facility using flexible command base queries (QBase)
- Data Access procedures, including free download, are described for everybody interested in re-using Eurobarometer primary (individual level) data in his statistical analysis
- Contacts to the all involved institutions are specified, complemented by the opportunity to subscribe to the Eurobarometer mailing list

- Publications related to Eurobarometer data, in particular bibliographic references to publications based on their re-analysis, can be retrieved from the GESIS libarary catalogue; feedback on the use of archive resources for publications is encouraged
