Knowledge Base Social Sciences Eastern Europe
The Knowledge Base Social Sciences Eastern Europe was designed and maintained by the GESIS Service Agency Eastern Europe
and aimed at providing an overview of the development of social sciences in Central and Eastern Europe as well as
of their international networking.
After the closing of the project in 2010, most operations regarding the Knowledge Base were either strongly reduced or
entirely stopped. Thus, the full texts und the records of the Research Network 1989 moved to the Archive.
The Subject Gatway is continued to be regularly updated.
The series "Social Science news" is still issued monthly.
Social Science News
The Mailing Service Social Science News offers current information on conferences,
workshops, and summer schools as well as on promotional programmes, grants,
networks and job advertisements in European countries and the USA. The
information is compiled and edited by
GESIS. This Mailing Service is distributed in English free
of charge.
