The social science portal SOWIPORT brings together and links quality information from domestic and international providers, making it all available in one place. By integrating offerings thus far only available separately, SOWIPORT is a main destination hub for users seeking social science information.
SOWIPORT currently contains approximately 3 million references on publications and research projects from 18 databases. Intelligent procedures such as the automatic decoding of search terms between the different thesauri of different databases help support the user via simultaneous research in multiple databases. SOWIPORT also interconnects databases and electronic publications with one another and offers information on publications and services of all partners.
