On the occasion of the upcoming centennial Jubilee Congress of the German Society for Sociology in Frankfurt am Main, Germany from October 11 – 15, 2010, the current issue of Research Special offers a number of references on publications and research reports on the topic of “Transnational Socialization.” The tension between national and transnational state is one of many topics to be addressed at the 35th Anniversary Congress of the German Society for Sociology focusing on Transnationalism and Society.
With this issue of Research Special GESIS would like to add its voice to this social science debate. Current publications and research projects are offered in five chapters which present an excerpt of the current research landscape.
