The Annual Conference 2019 of the European Platform of Women Scientists EPWS is titled “Alone is not enough. Shared challenges, joint achievements, mutual dialogue for future actions in the fields of Gender Equality and the Gender Dimension in EU Research and Innovation”, in Brussels on 25 September 2019, 10.00-16.00. The conference venue is the Museum of Natural Sciences – Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences, just next door to the European Parliament.
In view of the new composition of the European Parliament after the elections in May 2019, the EPWS Annual Conference 2019 will situate EPWS and its role in the overall structure of European science and equality policy today, including striking achievements in European research and innovation policy that enable women scientists to participate on an equal footing. The guiding questions include: Where would we stand with regard to gender equality and the gender dimension in research and innovation without the concerted action of EU policy and an international network of networks representing the needs and aspirations of women scientists in this context? What is the impact of these efforts on the situation in EU member states?

EPWS General Assembly will take place on the day before, 24 September 16.00-18.00 at the same venue, Museum of Natural Sciences – Royal Belgian Institute of Natural Sciences.
