With the declaration of 2025 as the “Year of the Family” in Türkiye, the need to address the concepts of women and family in a multidimensional manner has become more important than ever—both scientifically and socially. In this regard, the International Symposium on the Empowerment of Women and the Family will be held on October 22–24, 2025, in hybrid format (both in-person and online), hosted by Düzce University in Türkiye with an interdisciplinary approach.
The symposium is open to contributions from the academic world, civil society organizations, public institutions, and local administrations. This meeting, which welcomes every age group and every academic field related to women and family, aims to examine issues concerning women and families from diverse disciplinary perspectives and to develop joint solutions.
To support parents wishing to attend the symposium with their children, a special children’s area offering educational and entertaining activities for children aged 3 to 10 will be available throughout the event.
