DESCRIPTION:The European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) in cooperation with the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Research and Innovation are hosting a high level conference “Mainstreaming gender equality into academic and research organisations”. The conference will bring together around 170 decision-makers, experts and practitioners responsible for gender mainstreaming in the research sector. Building on the achievements of academic and research organisations across Europe, the conference aims to take stock of the gender equality strategies in research policy and encourage the institutional change through gender equality plans. To strengthen and promote such change, EIGE will launch its new tool - Gender Equality in Academic and Research organisations – GEAR.Conference registration will open in July 2016.Please save the date!
