DESCRIPTION:Germany lies in a lengthy line of countries which have been seized by surprise at the rapid, vibrant expansion of their private higher education sectors, neither centrally planned nor forecast. They are now playing catchup to figure out, especially given the country’s proud public university tradition and free tuition, “what is going on here?”. In his talk, Prof. Levy will interpret the developments in Germany from a global perspective and discuss implications for research on German private higher education.Prof. Dr. Daniel C. Levy (University at Albany, SUNY, USA) trägt im Rahmen des “Forschungskolloquium Hochschulforschung” des Zentrums für HochschulBildung (zhb) an der TU Dortmund im Wintersemester 2024/25 vor.
