This lecture explores the context in which the contestations of women's and gender rights in Morocco should be positioned. Prof. Sadiqi introduces the notion of the 'Center' as a lens through which women's contestations may be understood as agency beyond and across the competitive secularist and Islamist ideologies.\r\n\r\nFatima Sadiqi is Professor of Linguistics and Gender Studies (University of Fez\, Morocco); currently she is a Fellow of the ZiF Research Group ‘Global Contestations of Women's and Gender Rights’.\r\n\r\n LOCATION:online, 18:00 Uhr END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
