Survey of sexualized discrimination and violence in the university context: presentation by Dr. Anke Lipinsky

Categories: CEWS Aktuell

The need for empirical and quantitative data for diversity and anti-discrimination policy in the university context is constantly increasing. There is a lack of established structures for collecting sensitive diversity and discrimination data, which leads to heterogeneous data collection methods. The conference “Collecting diversity at universities. Challenges and solutions for diversity and anti-discrimination work” on November 28 and 29, 2024 at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main focused on precisely these challenges.

In this context, Dr. Anke Lipinsky presented in her lecture “UniSAFE. Ending gender-based violence - Survey on gender-based violence and discrimination in the context of higher education”, Dr. Anke Lipinsky presented the results and methodological approach of the project's survey. In her presentation, Anke Lipinsky emphasized the data quality in university survey projects, which can be improved on the one hand by methodological procedures from survey research and on the other hand by including diverse target groups in the surveys.
