New project "GendAReview – Gender Research Perspectives on Science and Academia" launched at CEWS

Categories: CEWS Aktuell

The BMBF-funded project “GendAReview – Gender research perspectives on science and academia”, which will run for the next fifteen months at CEWS, was launched on December 1, 2024.

The GendAReview project explores how the latest perspectives, theoretical models and findings from international, power-critical gender research can impact science and higher education research. GendAReview focusses particularly on three selected topical areas: university governance, working conditions and conditions of knowledge production. The overall aim of the project is to develop an evidence base on the content and methodology of debates, including gender theories, such as intersectionality theory, feminist standpoint theory or queer theory. By creating three scoping reviews, it aims to close gaps in future science and higher education research. The project's objectives support theory-based self-reflection and the identification of further theoretical potential in science and higher education research.
