CEWS is starting the new year with a new team member: Juno Reichelt will be supporting the new Spezialised Information Service Gender Studies (FID Gender Studies) as a researcher.
Juno has been working at GESIS since 2023 and previously participated in the Horizon Europe project PushBackLash. There, they focused on anti-gender backlash and resistance to democratic values, gaining insights into the actors, attitudes, and agendas that oppose gender equality, as well as strategies to counter these challenges. Since 2023, they have also been pursuing a doctorate at the University of Cologne on the connection between anti-gender attitudes and right-wing radicalism, focusing in particular on the conditions under which these attitudes influence electoral support for right-wing radical parties.
Juno is particularly looking forward to the following in their new position: “The FID Gender Studies opens up new opportunities to make the diverse research achievements of gender studies more visible and to strengthen them structurally. I am looking forward to working with CEWS and its partner institutions to develop community-oriented offerings in the areas of research data management and open science that provide concrete support to researchers in their work.”
Welcome to CEWS, Juno Reichelt!
