Project description:
The FID Gender Studies is the first centrally coordinated infrastructure for providing scholarly information for inter- and transdisciplinary gender research in Germany. The FID supports researchers with target group-specific services – in gender studies as well as in other disciplines that pursue gender-related or intersectional perspectives. It bundles existing research infrastructures, improves the supply of literature, and creates target group-specific services in the areas of research data management and open access. The focus is on the sustainable support and visibility of gender-related research – including via a specialist portal that will go online in 2026.
As part of the FID, CEWS is committed to preparing and providing community-specific information on quantitative research data management and relevant NFDI consortia.
The project consortium consists of:
- GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences / CEWS,
- the Margherita von Brentano Center at Freie Universität Berlin,
- the Center for Transdisciplinary Gender Studies at Humboldt University Berlin,
- the University Library of HU Berlin,
- and the Qualiservice Data Service Center.
