Description:
The GendAReview research project is investigating how the latest perspectives, theoretical models and findings from international, power-critical gender research can be taken up in science and higher education research and utilized for a deeper examination of established approaches, theories and methods. The overall aim of the project is to close the gaps in the content and methodology of debates and expertise on gender theories, such as intersectionality theory, feminist standpoint theory or queer theory, in future studies of science and higher education research. GendAReview is therefore developing an evidence base to assess the extent to which the latest theories and findings from international gender research can be applied in German science and higher education research, particularly in three selected areas: university governance, working conditions and conditions of knowledge production.
The project's objectives support theory-based self-reflection and the identification of further theoretical potential in science and higher education research.
