The GESIS AppKit enables GDPR-compliant collection and processing of survey data in accordance with data protection regulations. The platform provides technical measures for pseudonymization as well as secure storage and management of data.
As researchers, you are responsible for obtaining informed consent from participants and managing the data you collect in compliance with legal requirements. This includes, in particular, defining data retention periods, ensuring participants' rights (e.g., access, deletion), and handling personal information responsibly. The basis for the contractual relationship between GESIS and users of the GESIS AppKit are the terms of use of the GESIS AppKit, the Data Processing Agreement (DPA), and our privacy policy, to which you have agreed during the registration process.
