The ALLBUS 2021 is ready for download!
Since 1980, the ALLBUS has been collecting data on attitudes and behavior of the German population every two years by means of face-to-face interviews (CAPI). Actually, the ALLBUS was supposed to be surveyed again in 2020 with replications from all ALLBUS topics in line with the ALLBUS anniversary "40 years ALLBUS".

Unfortunately, the pandemic made it impossible to collect face-to-face interviews in 2020. The data collection was made up for in 2021 with more than 5300 respondents in East and West Germany - for the first time in a self-administered mixed-mode design (written mail questionnaire and online questionnaire).

Contents of the ALLBUS 2021 are on the one hand many central time series of the ALLBUS, with which social change can be analyzed over a period of now 40 years. On the other hand, questions from the main topic "Sanction and Deviant Behavior", which was last part of the ALLBUS in the years 2000 and 1990, were again collected. The ALLBUS questionnaire is completed by 8 new questions on pandemic control and the standard questions on sociodemographic characteristics of the respondents.
