On November 20, during the “Future of Training” event, GESIS was awarded a certificate from the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce and the “Vocational Training Without Borders” seal for our commitment to the international mobility of trainees.

Christina Laßka, a trainee market and social research specialist in the International Studies (SDC) team, was honored for completing a several-week internship abroad in April 2025 with our ISSP partner, the Social Science Research Institute at the University of Reykjavik in Iceland. Elvira Heick was also honored. As a trainer, she took part in the first week-long Erasmus Plus trainer trip to Crete organized by the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce in April 2025, where she got to know training companies, vocational schools, and project partners.

Vanessa de Sousa, an office management trainee in Cologne, is part of the Cologne Chamber of Industry and Commerce's new image film for stays abroad in dual training. She reported on her internship abroad in Dublin in the summer of 2024. The interview was filmed in the renovated GESIS library and the image film was shown at the “Future of Training” event.
