The Certificate Programis designed to equip early-career researchers from different disciplinary backgrounds using social science data with innovative tools and comprehensive training to promote quality-assured data handling. As part of this six-month program, participants strengthen their skills in quality-assured data processing and gain practical insights into the creation and use of high-quality research data. A practical orientation is ensured through online self-learning materials, regular online events, and networking events with relevant data-producing institutions.
The program will take place in an online blended-learning format from March to September 2026.

The Competence Center Data Quality in the Social Sciences (KODAQS) promotes the understanding of data quality and aims to equip researchers with skills to test and assure the quality of social science data. It offers free educational resources and learning opportunities for researchers who want to strengthen their expertise in data quality. KODAQS is a joint initiative of GESIS – Leibniz Institute for the Social Sciences, the University of Mannheim, and the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU).
