The participation of women in decision-making processes and thus in (specialized) political power is an essential element of gender equality. A good data basis and regular monitoring are important foundations for developing stronger representation of women in management and decision-making bodies and, as a result, for developing gender equality policy initiatives and measures. The data report compiles data on university management, senates, university councils, and faculty management. Data from the Federal Statistical Office and our own surveys are processed. Since 2018, CEWS has been collecting nationwide data on the composition of senates and faculty management every three years. The current report presents the data for 2024 and 2023.
