Safe Room Mannheim with expanded data offering as part of the International Data Access Network (IDAN)

Categories: GESIS-News

Since June 2022, researchers have been able to access restricted UKDS data from the Institute for Social and Economic Research (ISER) and the Centre for Longitudinal Studies (CLS) from the Safe Room at the GESIS site in Mannheim. This has made it possible to implement another node in the International Data Access Network (IDAN).

More information:

The Safe Room, established at the end of November 2018 under the leadership of the German Microdata Lab (GML), provides remote access to various weakly anonymized data from six research data centers in four participating countries (France, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom).

In addition to the new access for UKDS, it is possible to work with data from the Research Data Center of the German Federal Employment Agency at the Institute for Employment Research. Furthermore, there is currently access to data from Statistics Netherlands (CBS) and the Secure Access Data Center (CASD) in France.
