Three new members join the Scientific Advisory Board of GESIS

We are delighted to welcome three new members to the Scientific Advisory Board of GESIS: Daphne Ahrendt (Eurofund), Prof. Dr. Stefan Decker (RWTH Aachen University and Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology) and Prof. Dr. Brent W. Roberts (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign). Their expertise will undoubtedly be an asset to the Scientific Advisory Board and GESIS.

   

Daphne Ahrendt is a senior research manager in the Social Policies unit at Eurofound (The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions), an EU Agency. At present, she coordinates Eurofound's survey management and development activity and leads the preparation and analysis of the COVID-19 e-surveys.

   

Prof. Stefan Decker is Chair of Information Systems and Databases at RWTH Aachen University and director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT. His research interests include data science and data spaces, linked data management, open data and online data protection.

   

Prof. Dr. Brent W. Roberts is a Professor of Psychology and at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Distinguished Guest Professor at the Hector Research Institute of Education Sciences and Psychology at the University of Tübingen, Germany. His research focuses on continuity and change in personality across adulthood, the life experiences associated with changes in personality over time, and whether one's personality can be changed through intervention.
