Update of the GESIS Microcensus Trend File

The GESIS Microcensus Trend File is an offer of the German Microdata Lab and is now available in an updated form. It contains a total of 40 microcensus surveys from 1962 to 2016, which are put into comparable form and cumulated. Thus, the GESIS Microcensus Trend File covers a time span of five and a half decades. With almost 20 million cases and more than 160 variables from various subject areas, it allows not only long-term but also in-depth analyses of social change in (West) Germany.
